Fans pay → direct credit hits your account (65% on encourages · 80% on sales & shows). Roster splits only apply to your payout plan or the 113-day pool — not the fan's full price.
| Term | Meaning | Encourage $0.40 example |
|---|---|---|
| Direct credit | 65% (engagement) or 80% (sales/tickets) of what the fan paid — goes to the artist/host wallet | $0.26 direct — not a "split of a split" |
| Payout plan | How your direct credit is shared with co-singers, producers, church on that song | 50/50 → you $0.13 · producer $0.13 (of the $0.26) |
| Pool royalty | 20% of engagement to the community pool — split every 113 days among eligible roster on air | $0.08 to pool — separate check, separate rail |
Remember: "65% to artist" means 65 cents of every fan dollar lands on the artist side direct. Collab splits carve up that amount — not the fan's full payment.

Every fan action updates your pending direct balance immediately — encourages, encores, ticket sales, downloads. You always know what you earned. Money stays held until:
Pool royalty shows as an estimate in your dashboard — but newcomers pay their dues first: no pool payout until 113 full days on a paid artist ($12) or DJ ($50) subscription, on a scheduled royalty run after that. Direct fan earnings (encourages, sales) still pay on the 29-day rail — this rule is pool royalty only.
The 65/20/15 and 80/10/10 rows below are where the fan's money goes. The artist column is direct credit — the full percentage of the fan price, credited to the payee account (pending release).
Engagement — 65% direct to artist · 20% pool · 15% platform (tip, encourage, encore, interrupt, unlock full listen):
Tip — any amount, 80% artist · 10% pool · 10% platform, no chart effect. Directed gift to one artist — not the platform Donate button.
Encourage $0.40+ minimum (fans can pay more) · +1 chart power → $0.26 artist · $0.08 pool · $0.06 platform
Encore $1.50+ minimum → $0.98 artist · $0.30 pool · $0.22 platform
Unlock full listen $0.40 on Artist Home → $0.26 artist · $0.08 pool · $0.06 platform · profile listen only (not download)
Interrupt $50 listener → $32.50 artist · $10.00 pool · $7.50 platform · Interrupt $40 paid artist/DJ → $26.00 artist · $8.00 pool · $6.00 platform · full track on air (not 2-min cap) · play protection on that interrupt · 8 full-length plays in 7 days
Payment: Only Support is free (+1 chart power). Listener $7/mo includes monthly encourages, encores, downloads, 2 paid events. Artist $12/mo shares the same 2 events/mo pool. Free listener (no sub) pays same fan prices — Encourage $0.40 · Encore $1.50 · Interrupt $50 · Own $0.99. Paid $12 artist & $50 DJ: Interrupt $40.
Artist self-spend (you pay on your own song — entry, lock-it, encourage, interrupt): 80% pool · 20% platform — no direct 65% back to you.
Artist membership $12/mo → $9.60 pool · $2.40 platform · 2 songs auto-rotation · 2 plays each in 72 hrs · full royalties · Lock-it +$15 optional · 2 free encores/week (no split) · 2 free paid events/mo (host gets sales split via perks ledger) · first self-interrupt $20 → $16.00 pool · $4.00 platform
Put on air $5 (fans only — listeners putting any artist on air) → $4.00 pool · $1.00 platform · 4 guaranteed plays in 7 days
Artist rotation: 6 new submissions/month included with $12 plan ($0) · optional $5 once for +6 submissions same month · no limit on recordings that remain in rotation · unused slots do not carry over
Free account chart entry $10 → $8.00 pool · $2.00 platform · no royalties to artist (same 80/20 self-spend rail)
Free-tier fan Encourage $0.40 → same 65/20/15 math · $0.26 withheld from artist → pool (artist earns $0 until subscribed)
Lock-it +$15 (subscriber) or +$5 (free) — optional add-on, never included with Fan Home, Artist, or DJ plans → 80% pool · 20% platform · 8 plays in 7 days + prevents mid-song cut-in
Example: subscriber $40 interrupt on your track → $32.00 pool · $8.00 platform · $0.00 to you · first interrupt $20 → $16.00 pool · $4.00 platform · free account self-interrupt $65 → $52.00 pool · $13.00 platform · listener fan interrupt $50 → $32.50 artist · $10.00 pool · $7.50 platform.
Track sale — paid $12 artist: 95% direct · 5% pool · 0% platform at $0.99 rack → $0.94 direct · $0.05 pool
Track sale — free-tier artist: 90% direct · 10% pool · 0% platform at $1.10 rack → $0.99 direct · $0.11 pool
Other sales — 80% direct · 10% pool · 10% platform (albums/EPs, merch, live tickets & shows):
Album/EP = artist-set price · same 80/10/10
Album $10 → $8.00 direct · $1.00 pool · $1.00 platform
Ticket $15 → $12.00 direct to host · $1.50 pool · $1.50 platform
Your payout plan splits only the direct credit — e.g. the $0.26 on a $0.40 encourage or $12.00 on a $15 ticket — among payees on that release. It does not re-split the fan's full price or the pool share.
Your pool covers platform operating costs (hosting, streaming infrastructure, AI moderation, security, payment processing) monthly — so the platform stays alive and your royalties keep flowing. This is how Alabasta survives without taking from the owner's personal cut.
| Step | What happens | When |
|---|---|---|
| 1. Pool accumulates | Revenue from engagement (20% pool), sales (10% pool), subscriptions, donations, and self-spend flows into the artist pool | Ongoing |
| 2. Expenses deducted | Verified operating expenses (Firebase, streaming, AI moderation, hosting, security) are deducted from the pool | Monthly |
| 3. Royalties paid | Remaining pool balance is distributed to eligible artists and DJs (113+ days subscribed, 12+ plays/on-air) — only after 500+ citizens and $2,500 net pool | Every 113 days — 60% of pool after expenses · 80% once every 7 years (Jubilee run) |
Why this is good for you: Platform percentage cuts (15% on engagement, 10% on sales) are clean profit — the owner's bills don't eat into your royalties twice. The pool keeps the lights on and pays you. If push comes to shove, the owner invests back into the pool from personal earnings.
| Payout | What | When |
|---|---|---|
| Direct earnings | 65% of fan encourages/encores/interrupts · 80% of downloads/tickets/shows — credited to your wallet, then optional payout plan among song payees | Every 29 days — automatic to your account |
| Pool royalty | Platform roster — your slice of the community pool when eligible (113+ days paid sub + 12+ plays/on-air). Not the same as per-song payout plan. | Every 113 days — automatic royalty run (only if tenure met on run day) |
Pool open gates: The first (and every) royalty run requires both: 500+ active citizens on the platform and $2,500 net pool after monthly expenses. Until both pass, the pool accumulates — direct fan payouts still hit your wallet on the 29-day rail.
7-year Jubilee: Every 113 days, eligible roster splits 60% of the pool (40% stays in reserve). Once every 7 years, the first eligible run after the platform anniversary pays 80% instead — one extra-generous blessing that cycle, then back to 60/40. Same eligibility rules apply.
If the platform dissolves: 93% of whatever remains in the artist pool (after final verified expenses) is paid out in one final distribution to eligible artists and DJs (113+ days on paid $12/$50 subscription). 7% is reserved for lawful wind-down costs. Your direct wallet balance is separate — still paid on the 29-day rail.
Pay your dues (pool only): New artists and DJs don't take pool royalty until they've been on a paid subscription for 113 full days — even with 12+ plays. That's ~one Alabasta quarter proving you're in it for the long haul, not a quick grab. Payouts hit the global royalty calendar: subscribe 100 days before a run → skip that run → first check on the next date after day 113.
Example: Royalty run is Jan 1. You subscribe Sept 23 (100 days earlier) → not eligible Jan 1. You become eligible on the next run (~Apr 24) if you still meet 12+ plays. Subscribe Sept 10 (113 days earlier) → eligible Jan 1 run if 12+ plays.
Self-spend on your own song (put-on-air, self-interrupt) goes to the pool — not your direct balance — and returns on the 113-day royalty rail when you're eligible. When a fan puts your song on air ($5), that goes to the pool too — benefiting all artists.
Default: wait for the 29-day automatic run (no extra fee). Fundraiser live · ticket rush · ministry emergency? Apply for immediate withdrawal of your direct earnings balance.
Example: $800 raised at a live fundraiser → apply Monday → $16 early fee (2% → platform) → $784 before tax withholding → transfer in 1–3 business days.
Set a default on your artist account (e.g. always send 10% to your church). Each new song can follow the default or override. After publish, changes need every payee to accept again.
When listeners hear ads on the licensed Alabasta Jukebox stream (US/Canada/Mexico via Live365), gross ad revenue is split 80% to the artist pool and 20% to platform operations. No direct per-artist credit — pool royalties run on the 113-day cycle like subscriptions.
Every monthly subscription feeds the artist pool. 80% goes to the pool (royalties for artists & DJs every 113 days) and 20% covers platform operations.
| Tier | Monthly | → Pool | → Platform |
|---|---|---|---|
| Listener | $7.00 | $5.60 | $1.40 |
| Artist | $12.00 | $9.60 | $2.40 |
| DJ | $50.00 | $40.00 | $10.00 |
