Paid encourage, encore, and interrupt always pay artists — but cannot buy rank in the spotlight zone (#1–#10). Caps, daily budgets, and the artist pool keep fan money cycling back to creators.

Pool expense deduction — keeping the lights on
The artist pool backs the platform's survival. Verified operating expenses (Firebase, streaming infrastructure, AI moderation, hosting, security, payment processing) are deducted from the pool monthly — before the 113-day royalty distribution. This means:
- Platform percentage cuts are clean profit — the 15% on engagement, 10% on sales, etc. go to the owner without deducting bills from them
- Bills come from the pool, not the owner's pocket — the pool keeps the platform alive so your royalties keep flowing
- If push comes to shove, the owner can invest back into the pool from personal earnings — the platform's survival comes first
- Flow: Pool accumulates → expenses deducted monthly → every 113 days: remaining pool pays royalties to eligible artists & DJs
