Your distribution stack — DistroKid, Ditto & Alabasta
Three layers. Don't mix them up — each does a different job.
Education only. This page explains how the industry usually works. It is not legal advice. Read distributor terms yourself before you sign.
The three layers
- Distribution — gets your songs onto Spotify, Apple Music, Boomplay, TikTok, etc.
- Discovery / radio — gets your station or chart momentum in front of listeners (Alabasta jukebox, playlists, church network)
- Ministry home — where fans bless, book, encourage, and stay (Alabasta Ministry Profile)
Pick a distributor (you pay them)
Alabasta does not replace DistroKid, Ditto, TuneCore, or CD Baby. You (the artist) pick one and upload your releases there.
| Service | Rough cost | Good for |
|---|---|---|
| DistroKid | ~$23/yr | Fast, simple, unlimited uploads |
| Ditto Music | ~$19–59/yr | Budget entry, Boomplay/Africa stores, playlist pitch tools |
| TuneCore / CD Baby | Varies | Artists who want different splits or publishing add-ons |
